A day in the country

Wouldn't smarties be nice
Wouldn't hundreds and thousands be good
For our birthdays
For our birthdays
Let's go a' visiting, a' visiting, a' visiting
I've been to the wishing well
Here are some flowers we have to sell
I know that time you can tell
Wouldn't it good to go a' hunting, a'hunting
Waving our bunting
The choo choo train is shunting
We're on a steam roller
To the country
To eat pastries
With the Mary's
We're going to hear stories
The children are riding ponies
There's going to be a show
The ladies are tied up all in bows
The maids are busy cooking at the stove
Later on we'll rove
And afterwards, cocktails.
